Jeff Evans

Jeff Evans is President and CEO of JC-Evans, Inc., a media consulting and advertising agency, and its subsidiary, 315 Entertainment Group, a feature film production company, both based in Gold River, California.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and the Hollywood Film Institute, Jeff is a Feature Film Producer, certified Cinema Director and Line Producer, and also an accomplished AVID Editor.

Jeff began his media career at a young age, floor-directing a live television program when he was just thirteen. During his high school years he utilized his interest in writing and photography to co-found an alternative campus newspaper. Then as a student at the University of Michigan, he began his political activism developing a newsletter for the College Republicans and writing for campus publications, The Michigan Review (U of M’s conservative newspaper) and Consider.

From 1986-88, he served as a Regional Field Director in Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota and South Carolina for Jack Kemp’s bid for President. He then re-located to California to become a Policy Consultant for the California State Assembly Republican Caucus. Shortly thereafter, he left to manage the State Assembly campaigns for David Knowles in 1988 and 1990. In 1990, Knowles became the first Republican to defeat an incumbent Democrat in 10 years.

Jeff Evans became Chief of Staff for Assemblyman Knowles in 1991 and worked with him for two years before leaving to form his own communications firm in 1993. He also managed Knowles’ successful 1992 re-election campaign.

In the years following, Jeff sharpened his creative talents developing successful direct mail pieces for numerous political campaigns. He also expanded his client base to include corporate and non-profit clients.

In 1993, Jeff took over the dormant Red Barn Video Company, and began developing promotional videos, commercial spots and documentaries for such clients as Gun Owners of California, the Regulok Corporation and Gun Owners of America.

He spent four years developing direct mail and producing a weekly television program for Christ for all Nations (CfaN), an international non-profit organization. His work for CfaN allowed him to shoot on location in Ethiopia, India, Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia.

Jeff has nearly 20 years of media experience including writing, producing and directing radio and television. For the past 10 years, he has served as Editor of the California Republican, the only state-wide Republican publication in California.

He has been recognized for his creative talents with numerous awards including an ADDY, two Telly awards, four Communicator awards, sixteen Pollies, a Summit Creative award, the 2007 American Corporate Identity Award and four Hermes Creative awards.

Jeff Evans lives in Gold River, California with his wife Cathy. They have two children, Zack and Shannon.
